The Jeffress Scholarship Trust considers awarding scholarships to dedicated coaches, able-bodied or partially disabled, working in the equine industry, either full or part time/self-employed. The bursary is for training to improve existing coaching prowess.

The Trust runs two training cycles per year (normally March to September and September to March).

“Receiving a Jeffress scholarship has enabled me to gain my BHS Senior coaching certificate. And most importantly, the process has introduced me to Lindsay Jenkins, who has been a truly inspirational influence on my training of horses and riders.”
– Tracey Smale BHSIISC

“The Trust provided me with the much needed support I required to train for and take my BHSI exam. I owe an awful lot to them. They are always friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had. I cannot thank them enough.”
– Amy Bannister BHSI

“I would like to thank the Jeffress Scholarship Trust for the amazing opportunities that they have given me. With the bursary, I have had the chance to work with some amazing top trainers and have been privy to teaching methods, that otherwise would have eluded me.
The Trust has been very helpful and especially supportive, when I had a serious illness.
The Jeffress Trust is an amazing organisation that opens doors to a great education within the equine industry.”
